WHAT IS A HEALTH COACH?
A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients’ needs.

Health coaches are facilitators of change. They empower their clients to tackle diet and lifestyle changes and offer unconditional support, which can help people take actions to manage or even reverse chronic health struggles. With the help of a health coach, clients are often able to better understand their diagnosis and treatment plan, as well as process the sometimes-difficult emotions that come with chronic struggles. What’s more, clients who have been through coaching often see additional benefits in their lives as they gain the confidence to take action and make changes.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?
Based on cutting-edge science, functional medicine offers a whole new way to understand and look at chronic illnesses from diabetes to depression; heart disease to hypertension; autoimmune disease to autism; allergies to anxiety and more. The core concept is that chronic illness is an outcome of imbalances in the key underlying physiological systems in your body. When inflammation, blood sugar imbalance, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, hormonal problems, and systemic upset occur the body spirals out of balance.
This in conjunction with poor diet, lack of essential nutrients, emotional stress, environmental toxins, lack of exercise, and other lifestyle issues set the stage for chronic disease to develop.

HOW ARE ONE AND ONE COACHING SESSIONS CONDUCTED?
Once you have decided to work with me, you will be registered in my HIPPA-compliant nutrition platform which allows you to schedule sessions, upload documents and fill forms. Sessions are done via HIPAA-compliant video conferencing or in person in my office in Sugar land Texas. Prior to your initial session, you will fill out the following:
Intake form with health goals
Food Journal
Symptom questionnaire
Program agreement
Note: As an integrative nutrition health coach, I focus on whole food and habit-based wellness, and do not diagnose or treat diseases. Please consult with your doctor for all medical conditions. You may also consult with your doctor before working with me.

DO YOU OFFER ANY GROUP PROGRAMS?
Yes, I offer group programs Here is the schedule for the upcoming programs. Group Coaching programs are designed to address one or two specific health goals/concerns and enjoy a supportive group experience.

HOW ARE GROUP COACHING PROGRAMS CONDUCTED?
Group coaching sessions are offered virtually, via a Zoom video call. All participants have access to our private Facebook/ Mighty Networks group where we connect, share, and support each other every day.

WOULD YOU OFFER SUPPORT AROUND COOKING AND SHOPPING?
Yes. Throughout the coaching program a considerable support is provided in form of recipes, cooking videos, shopping guides, information on reading and understanding food labels. Guidance is also designed to demystify setting up your kitchen, buying the best tools, materials, and the highest quality foods. There’s something for everyone – from the beginner to the advanced cook.

ARE THE RECIPES AND GUIDANCE YOU OFFER KID-FRIENDLY?
YES absolutely! It is my goal to try and instill healthy tastes and habits young and create healthful practices for a lifetime.

WILL I HAVE TO CHANGE MY DIET OR LIFESTYLE OVER NIGHT?
No. The amount of change and the pace of change will be guided by what you are comfortable with. A slow change that becomes a sustainable habit is recommended.

IS THIS A VEGETARIAN/VEGAN/RAW/PALEO APPROACH TO NUTRITION?
I offer a truly holistic approach; not just eating according to the most popular food theory, but observing each person’s life as a whole. This unique approach to nutrition is called bio-individuality, which means I recognize that no one diet works for everyone. I create a personalized map that is appropriate for the individual depending on their age, health, and activity level, where they live, personal tastes and preferences.

WHO WOULD BE A GOOD FIT TO WORK WITH YOU?
Individuals who have a desire to optimize their health through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Individuals who are motivated to make the change but don’t know where to start
Individuals who are willing to invest (time and money) on what is necessary to achieve optimal health

WHO WOULD NOT BE A GOOD FIT TO WORK WITH YOU?
Someone who is looking for a quick fix, that pill for the ill.
Someone who doesn’t have the time to commit to better eating, movement and/or sleep.
Someone who is resistant to making food and /or lifestyle changes
Someone who doesn’t want optimal health more than I want it for them.

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR YOUR SERVICES?
Unfortunately, I currently do not accept insurance. Under many circumstances you can use HSA (health savings accounts) to cover the costs, but I recommend checking first to make sure.

WHEN I ENGAGE WITH A HEALTH COACH, WILL I NEED TO BREAK-UP WITH MY TWO BEST FRIENDS –GOGGLE AND WIKIPEDIA?
No. The health Coach will support you implement the pertinent information suggested by your best friends. And guide you to turn your goals into a reality.
