Meet Me

My mission is to help simplify your journey to wellness.

I want to create a world where making a healthier choice is simple, convenient, and affordable for all.

I hope we can all be inspired to be more attentive to our health. And that we are no longer willing to accept chronic symptoms that many struggle with as “normal” or “part of aging”.

I wish to educate many more on how to take charge of their wellness and feel empowered to be their own health advocate.

I have coached hundreds of individuals in navigating chronic debilitating struggles from fatigue, digestive issues, sugar cravings, pre-diabetes/diabetes, PCOS, anxiety, mood swings, unwanted weight gain, chronic pain to wanting to feel better overall.
As a certified health coach, nutritional therapist with advanced training in applied functional medicine, coupled with years of higher education allows me to better understand your needs and offer simple, sustainable solutions that work.

Having lived in six countries, I am a global citizen at heart. I understand a lot about ethnic diets and culinary medicine from different parts of the world. I recognize transitions can be scary, but they help us evolve, and I believe there is no one truth – one person’s food can be another person’s poison.

In addition, I am also a mom of two grown and flown kids, doggy mom to our rescue, green juice drinker, chocoholic, entrepreneur, aspiring zero waste lifestyler, and health advocate, not always in that order!

In a world with information overload, conflicting approaches to wellness, demanding schedules, tight budgets, and peer pressure

I’m here to remind you

Why

symptoms are not to be hushed, they are body’s only way to communicate

How

our everyday choices positively or negatively influence our health

What

we can do to take responsibility for our health and well-being

FUN FACTS

This series of fun questions was inspired by an interview I did, and I think it is a great way to get to know me better!

Favorite quote?

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” -Gandhi

Growing up I wanted to be?

A Patisserie Chef

The start of my journey?

My health coaching journey started with wanting to be educated and empowered with the tools to provide my family with nutrition and lifestyle choices to improve well-being and avoid chronic diseases. I endeavored to raise my little humans with knowledge of where their food comes from and how what they eat impacts their bodies. I have always focused on a healthy gut (digestive and intuitive).

Cooking style?

Intuitive, always trying to add more veggies, love to combine variety of flavors but really struggle to follow the recipes (even my own).

Favorite book?

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Though I must confess, I struggle with “tsundoku” (I own a lot more books than I can read)

Something you won’t guess about me?

I am a very picky eater; food must be flavorful for me to eat!

Currently learning?

How to keep my succulents alive.

My ultimate goal?

On one level I would love to be involved in community composting. And of course, I want to spread the message that our body can heal itself – as long as we give it what it needs.

Best piece of advice for someone wanting to take more responsibility for their wellbeing?

Start! Do not wait for the perfect moment, commit to health while you are healthy. Focus on consistent small positive changes each day.

What’s my best accomplishment?

My hands-down proudest accomplishments are when I see my kids cut out the sugar when they see their skin break out, eat the greens with their slice of pizza, and reach for the bottle of essential oil when they have digestive distress.
